    Struck-Through Grease Coins

Hello, I have about 6 or 7 coins that appear to have obscured surfaces on various parts of the coin.
I believe these to be called "Struck-through Grease" coins.
I don't know the value of these coins, and I would like a rough estimate of it.

Here is the link to the images -

    Thanks,

Both nickels look like grease filled dies, the first on the L and the other in the motto (which you have circled).

Same with the quarter on the I in 'IN'.

Unfortunately it's pretty common, and the grese didnt fill any interesting part of either coin, and both examples are just a tad weaker on the strike. Unless it's a proof, or a very high grade, or something spectacular, they aren't worth much, sorry.

I've seen some example where whole words are missing, or digits missing. It's an interesting conversation piece, but that is about it.

Here is an image of an Ike Dollar w/ minor filled dies: 1978 $1 Ike Dollar--Minor Filled Dies--MS62 PCGS.... Errors

I also have a quarter that has the "r" weakened, so the motto is "In god we rust"
Any idea about the worth of that?

    Is it a Kansas quarter?

If so, it is a relatively common coin.

Usually prices are only significantly changed if large portions are missing.

It's actually a washington quarter, I never really saw one like this.

The title of this section is pretty much what is going on with this type of error.
