Need Help with I.D.
Hi...Ive had this coin for a number of years and cannot figure out what this is...Im new to posting her so i hope the pics will post...Any help on the I.D. will be appreciated...The coin weighs 33.1 grams and the size is 1 15/16-49 mm..

Hi JOE319, Looks like a Chinese Cash Coin to me, specifically from the K'ai-yuan coinage, usually attributed to T'ANG KAO TSU, was cast almost continuously throughout the 300 years of T'ang rule, with the only major change the addition of mint marks in AD 841. The reference gallery at calgarycoin.com will see you right for ID.

Thanks nnnbfc for responding to my post....I FINALLY found out what it is...After going thru many searches of auction houses I came up with one that had auctioned..It has whats called a Zhe S off this EXACT Coin on November 20 2007...It is A China-Southern Song Dynasty 1127-1280---Jia Ding Yuan Bao 1208-1224 10 Cash Coin from Zhejiang Province...It has whats called a Zhe Shi Reverse....Thanks Again Norman for your response and Welcome to the Forum from NorthEastern Pennsylvania USA
