Greg,
The Greenlandic note series is a very rare one.
Unconfirmed reports have suggested that Greenland will one day resume issuing its own banknotes like the Faeroe Islands have done.

Jesh, it's great to see this note. It looks like a really nice example. I know next to nothing about Greenland in terms of their coins and currency. An Icelandic dealer who recently joined CT sent me some Icelandic coins and I'm hoping to get his help in searching for both information and an example of the 10 Kroner note from Greenland. I recently found an image of one on some web page about Greenland that I came across while searching for 'whale' images. I read a lot about the topic of early whaling in the northeastern US, and the topic is beginning to expand to all the realms of whaling that spread from there. My primary interest having been to learn about the real story that inspired Melville to write Moby Dick, which is more interesting than Melville to read about. At any rate, for me, it's a fascinating topic and now it's merging with my currency collecting hobby!
Here's an image of that note I am looking for, hope it's not a $20k note to acquire one for myself someday:

Krispy,
Despite the fact that Greenland used to have its own banknote & coin issues, the Greenlandic Krone was not an independent currency. The same thing applies to the Faeroese Krona, which is pegged at par to the Danish Krone.

I've been seeing them on eBay in the $500 - $1,200 range either raw or as a 'specimen' with the punched out holes. I'm sure I could do better than those jacked up prices. They are mostly in the hands of Sellers in EU countries. There's a nice PMG 64 graded specimen with a BIN of $450 out there right now too. I'd just like one to come around in that HA price you cited.
