Essentially untoned with booming luster and a completely hammered strike. The coin has 5 full steps and all doors and windows on Monticello are strong. Some scattered minor imperfections limit the grade of this PQ Jefferson Nickel. A long die crack eminates from the second U in PLURIBUS through the mintmark and extending all the way through Monticello. The die crack through the mintmark is commonly referred to as the dollar sign variety.
