I'm ready and excited as I saw the last prizes

I've been lurking around since the end of last month and like the idea that you guys have about contest.

A little about me:

My interest in coins was peaked by an aunt of mine when about 5 yrs old. She had some coins laying in her jewelry box that she would show me and said they were for me. Some coins that were reeaallly old to a kid. V nickels, flying eagle, etc. Well my cousins used them to by candy with. That started me just collecting from change so no quality stuff like you guys have. Stopped even looking at them at all as a teen, and when my daughter was born I started buying her proofs from the mint for each year.

Pretty much a novice that only knows a little still about the hobby. My prize coins that I have are two coins that were given to me. One $10 gold piece from an uncle that was afraid he would sell it for little of nothing so he gave it to me. Then I have a trade dollar that has been passed down that was supposed to go to the girl granddaughter but my mom knew my sis would sell it.

I have nothing graded and know very little about the grades of coins so I want to get back into this again to hopefully get my daughter interested so the few coins I have with a little value will be appreciated by her because they will be hers one day.

Also, I used to be able to go to a coin store but you can't find one any more! Where did they all go??!!! Jk

I will have to hunt them up since they have been stored in my closet of treasures! That closet contains things that I have collected at various times. This includes sports autographs, cards, comics, Calvin & Hobbes, and coins.
