Since 1947(when India gots Independence) and from 1950 India declared as Republic, Central Coinage System was started. During next 15 years Indian coinage changes from Anna to Paisa, from Paisa to New Paisa and further progresses to increasing denominations Rupees 2, Rupees 5, Rupees 10 etc.
