It's a play on a character in a popular movie some of you may have heard of. Good movie.
But yeah, I collect all kinds of coins, in particular, Merc Dimes. I'm working on a FB set, haven't bought any of the bigger expensive dates yet, and probably won't for a couple decades, hah. I'm also a hardcore roll searcher, I've been doing 80-100 boxes of coins per month lately, a mix of halves, dimes and nickels, with the occasional penny box here and there.
In other news, I'm joining up because, well, why not? I currently post on the PCGS forums under the same name, and as MercCrazy on CoinTalk. Lehigh invited me over, by the way.![]()
Welcome to the playground Larry. All we really need around here is a few more kids in the sand box. I don't know if you know this, but my first collection was a blast white full band Mercury Dime shortset (1934-1945). I never completed it and sold the graded coins, but I still have a bunch of raw Mercs. Here are a couple of early gems.

Welcome to the forumsI don't have many merc's, since I'm working on a complete type set, but here's mine. It's nothing spectacular, but I had it imaged by PCGS anyhow for consistency. OCD maybe...heh. Feel free to use all the site, Merc, we have blogs and a gallery and groups, too. The article section needs some work; if you know anyone who'd like to contribute, or you want to, let me know! BTW our gallery can link to the forums, which is a nice feature, and you can share on other sites too. Let me know if you need any help with it.
p.s. tell your friends about the site, too, and we're always open to suggestions
