1885 Visitor's Guide To the Mint at Philadelphia
I would like to inform members that I have a copy of this very good piece of Numismatic Literature . It was printed in 1885 and authored by A.M. Smith , who himself was quite a character in the field. This copy is in Full Russian Leather binding, which had been re-bound prior to my ownership. The book has over 1900 fine engravings and illustrates and details the inner workings of the entire minting process. I think the last time one of these presented at auction was in the Early 90's . My copy was purchased privately. Here is the link to the item I'm offering Through EBAY . Should anyone here wish to arrange to purchase it, I will offer a discount to any forum member. Please E-mail me . Here is a link to the sale.cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270661623061&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_500wt_1156 or simply search " coinhunteralbny " on EBAY. I also have other Numismatic Literature items for sale as well.
1965 TAMS reprint of Crosby's " Early Coins Of America " Excellent condition
1899 Wm. Von Bergen's " Rare Coin Encyclopedia " ** This book was just discussed in the recent CW edition .
Various important Sales Catalogs both US, World and Ancient . One simply cannot have an appreciation for the Full color plates for these sales, without the actual Sales Catalog.

What you see there are the various titles of A.M. Smith's works . The most common issue of the 1885 copy , if one should use that phrase, is the one with the inside covers indicating over 1600 fine engravings. My copy, which was the deluxe edition references over 1900 fine engravings. It's is an absolutely wonderful read. Jesh, if you or any other member of this forum wants to buy this, I will offer a $25.00 Discount off the EBAY " BUY NOW " price. As you probably know, I would prefer not using EBAY for the Sale, so Just contact me via e-mail and I will end the EBAY listing early, or if you prefer to wait until the auction ends and if it is still available we can work out a sale at that time. Thank's in advance for your consideration's . P.S> Jesh, thanks for getting that correctly posted here.

The listing is winding down, and not a single offer. I find this lack of interest for important Numismatic literary works as this, more than slightly disappointing . For me, there is no substitute for owning an original important work as this, even if I can go to google books online .
