And I need accurate pictures on items. Amazon policy is that I eat return shipping (the seller does not even have the lights) so I'll have to see what they say.

I've never needed to pay shipping on amazon returns. I've been a member since 99 though wonder if that makes a difference?

I think it's because this is a marketplace item and not direct from amazon. I might be pleasantly surprised and the seller might pay for the return shipping. Stranger things have happened before. Either way, I'm going to quit stressing about it. My return shipping should be right around 19 dollars, so I might just go ahead and spend that on a few lamps and get the light kid later if I decide I need something fancier.

UPS Showed up nice and early today and I got my camara and goodies. Still on the fence about keeping the copy stand and still need to purchase some lights and get the software set up, too. Probably going to spend a few days getting used to using a real camera again, too. Fun stuff

Use a regular ol' desk lamp or something at first so you can mess with it!! Let's see examples when you get set up.

    Thanks

On this one the photography and photoshop work leave much to be desired. Proof in slab.

Need more light or two lights one at 10 other at 2. Also use the refine edges tool when you make selection before cutting the coin: http://www.coinforums.com/f15/isolat...your-image-93/

Color of the first seems like the WB is off, unless of course the coin looks like that in hand?

Overall focus seems good but of course can be improved.

Mark on rev of 2nd image is on slab I take it?
