Who banned you? Is there anyone on that forum with a wealth of knowledge about coins, or is it like Cointalk, a place for all the newbies to hang out?

It's weird to ban for that.

At a large forum that I administer we change sig and issue an infraction and move on.

That forum does have a very strict no advertising other competing sites rule and we don't just immediately ban.

Well when you buy 350,000 of pcgs coins in a year you'd be a little pissed the president bans you for a stupid reason. I could give a **** about it in general but it's a major disrespect to the customer

This is an excellent point and one that escapes the blunt instruments over at PCGS. The people who frequent the coin forums are both dealers and collectors. And most of the collectors are advanced collectors. To ban people from those from their forum simply because they don't feel like taking the time to properly moderate the forum will eventually erode their business. Not only do they not care, they seem to take pleasure in banning users from their forum.

Greg, you asked me yesterday "why do I prefer NGC graded coins?" The answer is that I don't like the way that PCGS treats their customers first and foremost. They want to charge collectors $140 per year in order to subscribe to Coinfacts which provides information that used to be free. Since their subscriptions are not generating the revenue that they expected, they have now attacked anything that is inhibiting such subscriptions. The most important information to many collectors is the population reports. In the past, if you didn't subscribe to Coinfacts, you could still obtain the population reports for an individual coin date/mm by searching the Heritage Auction archives. Just recently, PCGS has prohibited Heritage from including their populations in auction archives. NGC has not done that and I don't think they will do that in the future.

The very fact that they banned a customer who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on coins graded by their service is indicative of their failure from a customer service perspective.

Holy **** that is why Heritage doesn't show PCGS population anymore? Is PCGS that stupid?

I've been hesitant with NGC coins in the past due to buying some puttied ones, but with the advent of CAC I may purchase NGC again. I just noticed that PCGS's stock has made a bearish move across a critical moving average. (CLCT Makes Bearish Cross Below Critical Moving Average - Forbes). Could all the subscription fees that are coming lately by PCGS be an attempt to help their stock?

I did ask Don twice to reinstate my posting privileges but he has not replied. Very professional.

Guess I will have to make a critical decision on which way my collection will go.
