    Tomorrow is Derby day!

It's going to be a muddy race!! They are predicting thunderstorms with 1-2" of rain!

Lookin' at Lucky has never raced in the mud. It was a favored horse but now things might change...

    Anybody going? Anybody betting?

    It's post time!

    .

I'm not going, but I'll put in a couple of bets. I was looking at the daily news, and something caught my eye. They list the horses pedigree and Noble's Promise's (12-1) grandfather was Carson City. That's enough for me to put some money on it .

LOL That is a funny clip, I forgot about that one. I'm not sure who I'll bet on, and I haven't even begun to think about any exotics (tri's and supers).

Should be interesting to see the odds change like crazy depending on the weather. I'd like to go down there but I have family functions tomorrow (ALWAYS!!!) Arrrgh.

As for Noble's Promises that will be classic if he wins CC!

I just checked, there's another horse with Carson City in it's pedigree, Jackson Bend (15-1). That will have to be my exacta. No clue on my tris, or supers yet either. I usually only do the 10 cent super box, only cost $2.40, and I only really bet long shots.

I hit an awesome $2 super at Arlington last year, 2 of the horses were long-shots, the payout was nuts. $6400 or something. The guy I was with picked the same exact horses I did. To this day I still have no idea why I picked 2 long-shots in a super and even more clueless as to why he picked the same horses. I am thinking the race switched tracks or something, but I really don't know.

Wouldn't mind that happening again, that's for sure.

That is a nice payout, could buy a pretty Morgan with that . My best was on the last 4th of July, hit a trifecta for $1250.

That's a good payout for a trifecta, can't argue with that! Goodluck to you tomorrow with your CC horses!

I missed the whole thing... I was at a party and was outside and I noticed it thinned out a bit, looked at my watch and it was too late. Unreal. My luck has been really crappy with the track lately!!!

I didn't even bet this year. How was the race, muddy? I didn't see any replays, just know who won.

How was the super payouts? Any long shots come in 1-4?

It was pretty muddy. The odds jumped all over the place, so I'm not sure the exact odds when the race went off, but I think the horses that came in 3rd and 4th were around 10 to 1. The exacta (4-2) paid $150, the tri (4-2-10) paid $2,300, and the super (4-2-10-9) paid $202,000. Someone I was with had 4-2-10-20 on the super, he wasn't happy.
