I have a cousin in Elgin IL that consigned his 1955 Cadillac to Volo. It was a beauty with a pale green body and dark green top.....didn't sell because the price he wanted was nuts! In January he sent it off to Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale AZ and took a $10k loss. It is a good time to be buying classic cars, a very bad time to sell! He's keeping his 1957 convertible.....don't want to lose more money LOL
Elgin is close by me. A lot of good shows in Illinois, does he hit any of them?

He does, and coin shows too! Richard Bennett is one of the founders of the Elgin Area Historical Society, but also a bit of an "eccentric". I try to distance myself from him, however the relatives I like are also close by in Deerfield.

I use to live near Deerfield, too, in Lake Forest, actually.

Going to ask a guy here if he knows Richard Bennett.

    Is Richard Bennett your cousin?

Distant, but yes indeed he is. Anyone out there know him? I used to have relatives in Lake Bluff, Wilmette, Highland Park, etc. But they seem to be spreading out all over the country now. Just Elgin & Deerfield remain.

Yep, that's our cousin Richard......did clowning with Ringling Bros. Circus if I'm not mistaken, and even tried to be a Ventrilaquist. His parents were very well respected in the Elgin area, then came Richard LOL
