It seems to me that the Third Party Grading Services are a big scam and the average collector is getting cheated from stupidity.

An example: Since the mint started "striking" 2016 W Uncirculated Silver Eagle coins in August how can anyone tell that any particular coin is actually a "First Strike"? What do Third Party Grading Services do to “verify” that condition? These coins were held in stock for 4 months prior to release. Additionally, given the same conditions, how do they verify “Early Release”?

With each new coin comes the get rich scams of "first strike" and "first release" on eBay offering for considerable premiums.
