    That's what my guess was, Latin. But I don't know Latin and like you said can't read it very well. But thanks for a translation of what you can, you know anything about these tho? I found mine in a box of my grandfather's stuff I got after his passing several years back.

    On reverse in the middle of the circles it's the name of the one who had it. But I can't figure what's the name because the picture is not clear. My guess is that the medal is before 1850. Original I'm from Romania (latin country) and we had Latin language mandatory for 8th grade up to 12th grade.
